Poynt Terminal and Video Playback

Our Poynt device doesn’t seem to support Video Playback. The device loads the MP4 file but all that plays is audio, the screen is black.

Is there a setting on the device that needs to change? This can’t be an Android issue, we have other Android devices and all of them play videos fine.

We still cannot play videos on our Poynt. Not even Poynt’s own videos. Is there any plan to fix this? Our help system is based on instructional videos, which is unusable on the Poynt.

I have staged an OS update for your terminal. Please let me know if the issue persists after the update.

Thanks Dennis. We ended up implementing Android’s VideoView control. We are able to load videos as the Merchant selects a Tutorial to view.
