Payment applications used for acquiring banks - Is it always the Poynt core pay app?

Dear Poynt support team,

I was wondering if the same core payment application available on Poynt terminals is the unique pay application used for all banks (e.g. Nexi, Elavon, etc), or if some acquiring banks can provide their own payment applications.

Could you please confirm that Poynt core payment application is the only application used for processing payment transactions on Poynt terminals?

Hi Sergio,
Any application on Poynt terminal must use payment fragment to handle payments, this applies to all acquirers.
