How to connect to a USB Printer:
Step 1: Connect your peripheral to the terminal dock using a USB cord. The terminal must remain in the dock to use devices connected in this way.
(Note: You may also choose to connect your peripheral directly with the Poynt Terminal using a Micro-USB cord).
Step 2: Once connected via USB, the terminal will display that it has been Connected. You may test it by selecting and doing a test print.
To do a test print, go to swipe-down menu from Home screen and select ‘settings’ → Accessory → Poynt Accessory Manager opens. Under the connected printer, select ‘test print’.
How to connect to a Network Printer:
Step 1: Turn on the network printer. Most network printers once turned on, print their IP address (or DHCP address in some printers) after a delay of 10s. However, if you do not get a print automatically, turn the printer off and then turn it on and immediately hold the feed button for 2-3 sec and the print containing the IP address will pop-up.
Step 2: On the Poynt device, go to swipe-down menu from Home screen and select “Settings”. Select the “Accessory” section.
Step 3: Poynt Accessory Manager opens. Click “Add network accessory”. This will launch a menu where you will select the type of accessory you’d like to set up.
Step 4: Once you select your accessory type, the available models will appear. Select your model and then click “Connect”.
Step 5: Enter IP address obtained in Step 1.
Step 5: Select Confirm.
Step 6: Test the device from the Manage accessories list to confirm connection.
Accessory → Poynt Accessory Manager opens. Under the connected printer, select ‘test print’.
How to connect to a Bluetooth Printer:
Step 1: Go to swipe-down menu from Home screen and select “Settings”. Select the “Accessory” section.
Step 2: Poynt Accessory Manager opens. Click “Find new accessory”. This will ask you to enable bluetooth. Select “yes”.
Step 3: From the available set of printers, select the type of accessory you’d like to set up
Step 4: Printer is now connected. Test the device from the Manage accessories list to confirm connection.
