Does Poynt support Private Cards now?

I ran a charge and used our Rewards card in the card reader. The Authorizing graphic came up is stuck there.

We have the ability to allow a 3rd party custom tender service process non-payment cards. We haven’t published the docs for that yet - hopefully we will do it soon. Meanwhile looks like you are on an old build that has the issue of “stuck in auth” for non-payment cards. If you can end us the last 3 digits of your device serial, we can make sure it has the right PoyntOS on it.

thanks - pushed an OTA w/ release 47. You should see the device auto-updating soon if it’s connected to the network.

Btw - with this new build - when you use non-payment cards - you will either see card read error since the track data format doesn’t match payment card track data or a decline.

Any pointers on implementing the Private Card code? Now it just gives a “Card Error” message, much better than stuck on auth.

yes please give us couple more days - trying to wrap up some documentation for the last minute features we added for Money2020.

I saw a build 47 so I updated, still get Card Error for our Private Card.

Any ETA on when this will be available?

sorry not yet. Still trying to iron out some issues with the new custom tender functionality and preparing the docs.

We are preparing to demo our software to a Poynt Vendor. Is there anyway we can implement our Gift Card system before next week?

A Custom Tender type would work as well, we’ve done this on other terminals.
