No, you do not need a stylus for the Poynt Smart Terminal. In fact, we recommend that you do not use a stylus with a Poynt Smart Terminal.
For both the merchant-facing screen and the customer-facing screen, the touchscreen should capture any taps, swipes, or signatures necessary just by using your finger tip, without a stylus.
Note: This work best with a finger tip, not a fingernail. A fingernail is usually not effective, and so we also do not recommend using a fingernail for taps, swipes, and signatures.
